Happy Snow Hash! Or something...

Hey all you snow bunnies, according to the National Weather Service, there may be as much as 9" of snow on the ground for this Monday's hash trail. That means a live hare, because all that snow is allegedly going to appear in the 6-8 hours before the start, so get those snow shoes ready. Also, this is predick-ted to be a proper nor'easter, so that means high winds and falling branches. 

Basically, this went from a "oh hey, let's have a merry little ramble t'rou da woods and shiggy wi' a pint aftarwards" to "wear all your winter gear, bring a second light, and maybe a helmet and Saint Bernard are required?" 

As luck would have it, Feb 1st is also Imbolc, so please do your best to petition Saint Bridget or the Maiden, or whatever gods you pray to that the only sacrifices we end up making in the woods are the traditional wheat/barley in beer form.

It was surprising to me to find that I am one of only a few Wankers to know that I have been doing the Hash Trash every fuckin' week. I post it on the Donkey Map. The reason I do it is because our Hashits have dropped their beer can and their responsibilities. I was also surprised to find that I am one of only a few Wankers (sound familiar) to know where to find this trove of history. The Rhode Island Hash House Harrier Blog Controversy

 Just Pat, not one to complain as he follows the golden rule of Donkey Punch, "bitch when you can or someone else will take your place", has put in his 2 cents about our blog or, more correctly, the failure to replace the Message Board with something a little more user friendly. Looking at the posts, I see that he has just authored a post, and other than PG & I, no one else has made the attempt.  The reason the Message Board is down is because they raised the costs from $35 a year to over $400. I am sure there are features that we're not using, but we don't need to spent beer money that way. I've offered the blog as a way to communicate for one reason and one reason only, because Rusty refuses to use our FaceBook page. That, by the way, will completely satisfy the need to replace the blog.
